I've been putting in all the npcs from the Drowing Wench into the DB. Seems to be working pretty well! Haven't seen any glitches or bugs or crashes yet...

Jorge24 January, 2016(2010-2016). Heh, guess the clock is working right on your server compared to Seventh Umbral where it couldn't decide if it was 2012 or 2013. I'd wager the client was going based off the server time for that and the hardcoded packets SU used made it think it was that year I suppose. Anyways, thanks for keeping the blog going, always been an interesting read each time, just wish I had something to actually contribute.

Ioncannon25 January, 2016WOAH, I didn't even realize the copyright is updating! Yeah time is in synch and the cool thing is both 1.0's and 2.0's Eorzea time is in synch (+- a few mins)!

caelumsixsmith25 January, 2016This reminds me that on 7U the developer once said that he had to reprogram NPCs from the ground up, including where they should be in the world. As far as I can remember that was the reason why he made the workshop tool, which would later become something to allow players to place NPCs in the world to help repopulate the server. Just reminding how far behind it was and still is.

Marishi_Ten25 January, 2016Excellent job so far! I cloned your repos and have been doing a bit of tinkering to lend a hand (no push requests yet. Mostly with NuGet and the dependencies not installing correctly in Visual as well as the config.ini file automatic build if the server can't find one) and forgive me if I missed it, but I don't see where you have your sql tables set up or any kind of example for it (the idea is to have the server check the database and if the table = NULL then to just build it with the correct constants and variables). Think you could shoot me an example build of your sql database? Keep up the amazing work and know that there are other devs out there that are lending a hand!

Anon28 January, 2016I haven't looked forward to something like I do this in a long, long time. I hope you don't lose interest like the SU person did, nothing against him whatsoever. I played the game since the 1.0 alpha, so if you ever need any information on what the game was like I'll be around. Unfortunately I don't have any of the game info on this machine, so I can't help you out with packets. Very sorry.

Joel06 April, 2016I just started playing on the SU server yesterday and I must say I'm extremely excited to find out that someone is still working ffxiv classic! I hope to explore this game because I never played the original game because I thought it was inferior to ffxi...That's what I get for snoozing..
